Anyone having success playing back HEROES in HD-DVD through PowerDVD?
I'm having a dickens of a time getting it to work.

Disk 1 plays fine.
Disk 2 freezes PowerDVD entirely, if the machine is connected to the internet.
Disk 3 through 6 (so far) all stutter so bad it's like watching a slideshow.

All through this my CPU is running 70% or less. I'm stumped, and desperate for answers. I've already exchanged the set once for a new set, and even the new set plays this way. Anyone have tips? I'm desperate!

Tips?

Make sure you have the latest PowerDVD, or:

If you just want to watch the episodes and not the extras, rip the HDDVD to your HDD.

Oooh, wait. Rip to the HDD. Hmm, wonder how long it takes to rip episodes like that? Time to try, good suggestion thanks!

Nix that, for some reason AnyDVD-HD isn't blocking the AACS so I can rip it. SO, nix that idea.

I have discovered that if I bump up the PowerDVD.EXE process up to "Realtime" priority, I get 98% smooth video.. but the audio starts skipping. Blargh!

What are your system specs (Video card, processor, memory, OS, and PowerDVD Ultra build)?

Try updating AnyDVD-HD remember they have changed the AACS code a couple of times.

Hmm, that's a good idea. Let me try that and see what happens.
