Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone who got the game early has gotten a chance to mess around with the calibration disc. I don't have one and was hoping it would be pretty decent. Any opinions on it?

View Full Version : Quality of Halo 3 calibration disc? Halvie 09-23-07, 07:53 PM Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone who got the game early has gotten a chance to mess around with the calibration disc. Swift Mojo Hand 09-23-07, 08:52 PM Something disapointing I noticed replaying Halo 1 and 2 was that they both where without an in game brightness setting. You had to use your TV to adjust the brightness. The problem I have with this is my TV is calibrated for viewing movies using the HDNET calibration tool. Replaying Halo had everything displaying to dark. All of my inputs are through one HDMI port from the receiver. /I really do hope they have an in game brightness setting liike the one Bioshock included. /NO, my TV is without a user preset video setting option. I guess that I'll find out about it first hand in a couple of days, though. It's about time a tool like this came out for the console. I've always had a problem getting the Project Gotham games to look good (always too dark). I'm hoping that this will help. I expect Halo 3 in the mail either Wed or Thursday from gamefly so I'll try and purchase the calibration disc alone at my local gameshop. It does have this option. I've used it. Swift Mojo Hand 09-24-07, 12:44 AM It does have this option. I've used it. It as in Halo 3 or it as in Halo 2? I looked everywhere for the option and could not find it. I even went back tonight after reading your post looking for the option feeling stupid and could not find it. I hope you are saying that Halo 3 has this option and you know for a fact because you have played it and used it. Please tell me this is what you are saying. Halo 3 has a brightness setting that can be adjusted in game. HoodedSoldier 09-24-07, 12:52 AM It as in Halo 3 or it as in Halo 2. I looked everywhere for the option and could not find it.
