I was in my local BB today, contemplating purchasing an XBOX 360 Premium (w/HDMI), and noticed the lot # on the unit as 0732. I just thought that I would ask to see if anyone has purchased a premium with this lot number. DVD drive noise level, fan noise level, etc? Thanks.

fan = loud... but quieter than my desktop computer
dvd = loud... but quieter than my dreamcast's drive

i don't really know how to properly contrast them to previous lots/models. i'm just praying my console has the extra heat sinks. PRAYING.

I'm pretty sure lot number 726 and after have the new heatsinks.

your dreamcast is loud? mine is completely silent, at least i've never noticed any sound coming from it from where i sit, so it's definitely quieter than my 360

oh yeah. my GD-ROM drive is loud as heck. you can hear it seeking like nobody's business.

Two Dreamcasts here and both loud as hell! I have heard that no matter what lot you get they come with different DVD drives so you could still get a loud one.
