I'm still trying to figure out the intricacies of the 722. During a 10 day road trip, I set up timers to record a variety of HD programming, including movies. Some stuff recorded and it's there to replay. Other timers are listed as completed but the shows themselves are not in "My Recordings". When I review the "Schedule", the successful recordinds have additional lines that say "AV Recorded" and the time, whereas the ones that mysteriously aren't there only say the event started and stopped at the proper times, but lack the "AV Recorded" lines. Since the DVR says it still has 25 hours of HD recording capacity left, I'm at a loss as to why this is happening. I'm in "Single User" mode and do not have a second TV connected. A clue: The missing ones have the line "Event Completed by User 2", whatever that means, and simply the Start and Stop times, but no "AV Recorded" lines. Also, in "Preferences", "Record Preference" is set to "TV2" (which implies to me that some stuff is being sent to TV2 and that's why it's not showing up). However, if I switch to Dual User mode and change the "Record Preference" to TV1, it flips back to TV as soon as I switch to Single User Mode. Should I, for some reason, be in Dual User mode, even though I'm using only one TV set?

Could be that one of your neighbors also has Dish and their 2nd remote (RF) is changing your channels. Try changing the channel that your TV2 remote works on.
