http://www.audyssey.com/technology/bassXT.htmlNo products yet. They do their demos with a home-made box+driver.

Is this going to used in receivers like the dynamic EQ is starting to show up?

Is this going to used in receivers like the dynamic EQ is starting to show up?Perhaps but it will require cooperation with the subwoofer manufacturers:
"Before a speaker system comes to market, Audyssey works closely with the manufacturer to create a precise model for the driver and the enclosure of the subwoofer or full-range speaker."

It's going to be interesting to see how this product plays out. Every sub has an Xmech limit (where the voice coil hits something or tears something) and an Xmax (where the voice coil moves outside of its linear range and introduces distortion). Also most subs have enough power to exceed Xmax and maybe Xmech if driven hard enough. From the Audyssey web site it seems they will work primarily with the sub maker to ensure the BassXT device knows the sub's limit and works the sub only to that limit. I suspect most subs don't have the sophistication to maximize use of the low-end while preventing failure when the user cranks it up. It seems BassXT will let the driver go to Xmax or maybe a bit beyond but keep the user from exceeding Xmech.

Audyssey Equalized with Dynamic EQ and Bass XT

It says this on the audyssey site so I do not see why the new receivers would not have it.
