So I bought an Elite this week, and hooked it up - no sound, D'oh!. I tried plugging it in to different spots on my HDMI switch - I would almost always get video (eventually) but only sound one time out of five. I admit I was getting a little freaked that my new toy was hooped. Anyway, I traded the cable out for one I had lying around (from my Tivo S3) and voila, video and sound, all good.

So, just bad luck or have there been any other problems with the included HDMI cable?

I didnt have a problem with mine. That is really weird.

My cable was fine as well.

by chance the lengths worked out to where i actually used the elite cable on my ps3. at first i was getting no video or audio. i noticed the connection into my receiver was not snug, so i wiggled it a bit, it started working.

its working ok now, but if problems crop back up i'll swap it out.
