I have a dedicated game room for Ps3 & Xbox 360. Room is 11' x 11' with a 10' ceiling. Not good room dimensions for bass The Dynamo and the Super Cube ll are about the same price. I can get a slightly used DD-10 (3 months old with a warranty) for about the same price of the other two subs even though it retails for much more. My room dimensions clearly could benefit from the DD-10's room Eq. I know the DD-10 is amazing for music but will it have the slam for video game effects ie.machine gun thumping rounds off. Which sub would be best for my smallish dedicated game room? Which sub has the most output and pushes the most air? I do not like boomy subs as I like accurate base as you hear with some of the M&K high end subs. Thanks

the velo DD series supposedly has low distortion and play very clean

I have two Velodynes, including a DD-10. I use the DD-10 to supplement my main fronts and a bigger unit for HT. It is a very impressive for music and handling room issues, but I would not really recommend it. (While ancedotal) mine has needed repair 2 times in the past 2.5 years. I am not sure if it's the small dimensions or something else, but it is the least reliable component in my system. While I know this is just one persons experience, you may want to check on the Velodyne reliability. Are you sure you want the added the complexity over a typical sub? Regards.

Macct, I was thinking because the game room is a perfect square that the room eq in the DD would help. Do you think the dd-10 has enough "slam" in a small room to accurately create the effects in gaming sound tracks or is it just too musical for this application? The price seems very good at 2/3 off retail for the slightly used DD. Your service issues with the DD-10 has me concerned. Maybe others will chime in with their experience with reliability. Thanks for you opinion.

If you don't mind other options- I don't know how close the SCII and SCIII are, but I tried a SCIII versus the SVS SB12+, and found that there's no comparison between the two. The SB12+ has loads more bottom end and sounds much tighter.
