This is an all-you-can-eat buffet of high def media. Kudos to the studios for pushing out such great stuff so early in the game.
I wonder if we'd have so many top notch releases so early if there was no format competition? Food for thought.

You might want to cancel Dracula, I'm hearing bad things about the transfer.
Too "crushed", too dark, almost to the point of it being unwatchable in scenes.

Some of you will need credit counseling after Christmas. I'll have to start researching them so I can recommend one to you later!
I too have had to bite my lip and hold back. Upgrading HD-A1 to HD-A35 and re-stocking theater supplies for the fall/winter theater season is enough dent besides my 2 movies a month personal "limit" for now ....

What? No BLADE RUNNER boxset mentions? A WB title on ALL formats.
Oh wait....Bob Black mentioned it. The 5 disc "briefcase" set is gonna rock. Might be my 1st HD DVD title, if I jump in this winter.
Yes, it hurts on both sides. And if you have both your really hurting. I've discovered importing from other amazons. Xplotied keeps adding new HD-DVDs all the time. I see so many I want...

WoW. Now it's clear why HDM pricing is redicules. Because y'all are buying it.
Please stop paying extra for HDM so the pricing approaches DVDs so we can get mass adoption. Go read a book; get a $5 paperback. Isn't the book better than the movie?

If no one buys it they won't make it and HD DVD and Blu Ray go bye bye!
There will never be "mass adoption". These formats will always command a higher price than SD-DVD's, and therefore the video/audio enthusiasts will be equal to laserdisc owners and J6P will be equal to VHS owners. But laserdiscs lasted a really long time, and I have no problems being an HD disc enthusiast.
The format war has actually helped the prices achieve close-to-DVD levels. If either bluray or HD-DVD were out there alone, they would be charging premium prices like Laserdiscs of old.
