I'll be there at the trade show floor later this week and for the weekend.

Pity I couldn't sneak in to that event tomorrow. :p

Sounds like fun.

More importantly...

Being on the top 5 list for that show at the NYC Javits convention center is a big deal as the press gets plastered with a lot of info on those items, NY is a big media market , and a lot of the consumer attendees get directed to see those items.

i'm actually surprise that Blu-ray dd not get a parallel mention. Thats clearly favoring HD DVD by the shows editorial committee.

The fact its HD DVD and not a specific Toshiba product is actually kinda significant by its self as its a quasi endorsement of the new technology and format and a statement that the event is predicting that it will be important new trend in consumer technology with the potential for mass adoption.

Its a nice endorsement for HD DVD .

There was scheduled to be one in most of the top 100 USA media markets, do not know if it was a space available ad and may have been bumped.

It was not AFAIK going to be a complete USA buy.
