I saw this in the theater, very funny, definately a buy for me.

True HD for a comedy and yet Universal doesn't offer True HD for
movies like Riddick, Pitch Black, King Kong, Bourne 1 & 2.

That's cause those are older HD DVD releases...Uni has since seen the Error of their ways and is putting TrueHD on all their stuff now :D

Yet another case for the "can't do 1.85:1, TrueHD and IME on a single release" as there is no IME on this one. Interesting that Knocked Up didn't have TrueHD but had IME. The case is getting stronger for this one!

Saw a free preview of this movie and all I can say is I'm glad it was free...wow this was one of the most painful "comedies" I've watched in a long time...not remotely funny and if it weren't for Miss Hottie showing off her hot pantie/bra covered bod, this movie would have gotten an F-..instead I give it an F+.

Universal hasn't finalized all the specs yet, all they did was officially announce the title. Universal has neither confirmed nor denied if the title will have U-Control on it yet.

I probably buy this since the wife liked the pre-view in theater.

Yup the preview is what got us all excited to go...I love both actors and figured it was a no brainer....boy oh boy was I ever wrong...buy at your own risk....odds are you'll end up trading it in for a worthwhile movie that's at least worth the premium price it will sell for new.

I was the opposite of you. I thought the preview looked horrible and that the movie was going to be awful. My girlfriend made me go see it and I was plesantly suprised. With that said, I will say this: If you are homophobic, don't like slap-stick humor, or don't like low brow humor, this will not be for you.

I never seen this one but I'll be picking it up anyway. I've heard nothing but good things being said from people whom seen it in theaters. I hope it's not a disappointment.

According to The High Def Digest there will be no U-Control on this movie. Which is too bad I can see a lot of funny interviews playing with the actors tossing jokes back forth while the movie is going.

I just read this. I thought that Universal said that on ALL of their new releases they were going to feature U-Control. What changed?

I don't know, but it is kind of disappointing. Hopefully they change their mind.

I believe what they said was that all of their new releases would have web enabled features. I could be wrong but that does suck if there is no U-Control on this one as that is always one of my favorite features, but especially on a comedy like this.

So it could be like Blu-ray not being able to do seemless branching with a lossless audio track because it can't maintain sync.

...If you are homophobic...

I know this is off topic, but I really HATE this term. Just because someone is doesn't support homosexuality doesn't mean they have a "phobia".

The phrase "homophobia" makes it sound like someone's opinion is tantamount to a mental illness or fear, and it's very offensive.

Sorry, geez. I'd offer you a hug but it would probably weird you out.

Just got my copy in today and it does indeed have TrueHD and the U-Control Friendship Test.

Edit: I just got done watching this and discovered the reason why there is no U-Control PIP. They must have not put it in because all of the featurettes and deleted scenes are presented in HD:D
