i don't trust reviews, he seems to give out overly high ratings. Seriously disappointed by Meet joe black, shouldn't have gotten more then 3 at best.

'cue the mechanism'...
Good movie. Worth the rent at least.

Although some of his audio spec information is wrong, I'll vouch to the heart of his audio/video assessment.

Yes, I agree. Pretty good picture quality. Couldn't wait to get this title. Super baseball movie.

Just saw this. Surprisingly a great film and you don't need to like baseball to enjoy which is a plus. I agree that both pq and aq are both superb, especially scenes at the stadium the surrounds gets a great workout and sound terrific. I might just end up buying this one.

I am in full agreement and actually gave it a 5 and a 4.5, yes it is that good:

Whoa, 4.5 PQ? I seem to recall some real color grain at points in this flick, and I sure wouldn't have given it a 4.5 - it's quite average. Which, in HD, means nice to look at. But it ain't Serenity by no sense of the imagination...

P.S. And I quite like the movie as well...

I'd say the pq is a solid 4stars, only because there were many scenes with alot of dirt on the film.

Be sure to check out Babe Ruth in a B&W short "Slide, Babe, Slide". Until I saw this, I never knew what his voice sounded like. It's nothing like I expected.

I was wondering if the hd-dvd had the Babe Ruth thing too.
It is after not striking out on Trivia questions, for those interested.
