I'm really curious how these 2 are going to look in Blu-ray and waiting for some reviews before I place the order.

Surely some reviewers or otherwise "special" people will be getting a copy of these soon with release only 15 days away.

28 days should look horrible, just like the DVD from what I've heard. It because of the low quality it was filmed in, so there's not much that can be done about that.

Hopefully it's at least a tad better then the DVD.

Yeah that's one of the reasons why I am so curious about them.

They will both definitely look better than SD but the kicker is gonna be a DTS-HD core track at 1.5 mbps for these puppies. The audio is great on DVD (28 Days) and is gonna be awesome on Blu.

So standard definition looks looks better on Blu-ray than DVD in relation to 28 Days Later?

I believe it could, at least for us NTSC DVD users. Whereas we were limited to 480p resolution, the SD source was actually 576p, so we should see a slight increase in fidelity on Blu-ray.

Also, the end sequence should look great, as well as less artifacts than the DVD version. I'm sure color fidelity would see an increase too, but I can't be sure (besides end sequence).

Was 28 weeks later filmed with crappy camera's as well? Or can we expect quality from that one, at least?

The first movie was basicly done on DV cams, PAL Resolution/50i, 25 Mbit MPEG2 4:2:0 color sampling. The second one was (afaik) done traditionally.

The second one was shot on film. So it should look great.

I saw 28 weeks later on the DLP when it was released. Super detailed and very 3D. Nothing distracting. The sound design for this film is top notch. And the soundtrack is freakin awesome. seriously the music is perfect.

28 weeks in PCM would probably be 5 star, easily. The 1.5 should still be nice.

28WL is the best modern zombie movie yet. It's definently demo material.

This is my number one pick of Foxs new releases(sorry Robocop). But the 28WL is the perfect candidate for BD.

I cant wait for the helicopter sequence.(it involves blades and bodies/heads, thats all I'm saying):)

Anyone knows the Issue with the AUDIO Track on the NTSC release of 28 days later ?. My friend have the NTSC DVD, the PAL UK DVD and the Soundtrack and he told me that the pacing of the Music of the NTSC DVD is swrewed badly. I know that we are getting the Theatrical Print here so..

Man, I thought 28 Days Later was 10 times better than the sequel.

I recorded 28 Days Later off HD HBO. In my opinion it looks slightly better than the DVD. Not sure why exactly.

I liked 28 Week Later much more than the original. The original was "unique", but the sequel had much more exciting and action packed scenes.

Well PAL could in theory produce 576P, but the cam they shoot is not able to resolve that much res.

It is actually an interlace cam, that with a little help of pixelshift produce progressive image with a drop in res. The 25F mode they used will resolve about 360 lines of res. But they also cropped the movie to 16:9 so the real res of 28 days should be about 240 lines.

Actually, have there been any reviews of any of the upcoming Fox releases yet? I'm surprised no one has a review copy and Beatboy hasn't received any yet either?
