Ok. I asked this in the wrong forum and got alot more Fanboy response than what was good. So I ask the question here. What is next for BD?
Simple question for everyone. I would like to jump into neutral waters with a PS3 and wanted thoughts from everyone as to what they think is next?

I see Amazon's deal is up for the 2 free BD movies on the 30th of this month and I believe the 5 free offer of BD's is also scheduled until the 30th. Then what?

I am not going for price reductions ( though that is always welcome ) more looking for extras for the price. I would be willing to pay the regular price for the PS3, but to be honest there isn't 1 movie on the rebate that I would want.

So, in your opinion, do they just extend the offer or do they change up the selection as HD DVD did?

Does Sony themselves start putting out offers on their BD's and accessories with the PS3's at retailers?

What do you think happens after 9/30/07? If it is something good, this would be an easier sell to the misses.

PS> I am asking more along the lines of movies packaged or rebated for future purchase of PS3.

Rumor has it a less expensive console from Sony as eddy_winds states, at the begining of November just before the holiday season kicks in... Ironically it still looks like Apple/Microsoft and now Sony want to use these devices as bridges to strickly downloading.. I can see them extending the offer and most likely changing the selection as well...

Sorry but I would rather give my money to BB or CC and at least have a hard copy of the DVD/Blu-Ray or HD-DVD...
