I see Monster Cable is about to release 35 ft, 50 ft, and I think even longer HDMI cables, and I could really use a 50 ft HDMI cable right now.
What's the deal on this "speed rating" that Monster is using to segment their HDMI cable product line? Is it legit or marketing crap? Specifically, do I really need to speed twice as much for a "HDMI800" rated vs. "HDMI400" cable in order to reliably send 1080p 50 feet w/just a cable? They claim the HDMI400 is up to 1080i while you need the HDMI800 for 1080p...
Thanks,
Steve
