Hi, I just wanted to know if anybody ever noticed this on the original dvd, in the beginning when he escapes and breaks the windows, i always thought he did it with his hand only, but when watching the blu-ray he has a tool, is this how it was supposed to be or is this just supposed be covered by special effects, and the blu-ray is that good that it points it out:), lol, or is it just me?

here are some screen captures i got

I did notice that last night also. My guess is it wasnt suppose to be seen.

Also, check out the scenes while the girls are walking home from school.... First its sunny, than cloudy, than its sunny again, than rain on the ground, than sunny again... etc. Its kind of funny.

Look at the first 'revealing mistakes.' I remember hearing about it several years ago. It must be pretty pronounced in high def.

It was mentioned in a commentary or a documentary somewhere by Carpenter that it was a movie trick that wasn't supposed to be seen. It's real low-tech. It's a wrench stuffed up his sleeve.

The whole film was shot in like 20 days, so as far as the sunny, cloudy, things, not much they can do.

They could have gotten a weather machine. They're not that much to rent.

Actually, "it" is pronounced the same regardless of whether or not "it's" in high-def.

Uhh...yeah? You act like it was hard to find a weather-controlling machine in 1978.

I didnt mind the sunny shots and then cloudy shots, it was the wet ground than dry ground thats a little distracting.... kinda sloppy.
Much more distracting than the bluish tint controversy.:D
