You can either A) Buy the 5 movies individually at $19.95 each for a 5 disc total of $99.75 or B) Purchase the box set for $5.00 more. Considering the stand alone discs are identical to the box set discs, I am going to pass on the boxset. So what are you planning on getting, the box set or seperate movies?

Is the content 100% the same between them both?

Just FYI, there's a pretty long discussion about seperate vs box set in the Blu-Ray section.

The boxed set is primarily for collectors and to give as gifts. There's no co-incidence the release date is December 11. ;)

Box set with all the extras (including 2 extra discs) and the beautiful box, definitely worth $5.00 more.

I think that the boxed set includes some extras not included on the individual discs. There was some mention to an interactive Hogwarts game just to name one.

That is correct there are extras in the boxset that are not included on the individual discs. Its really up to you if the extras are worth it for you, persoanlly for me at 83.XX (from WB) I took the boxset.

The box set is 7 discs right? Also, won't it be the case that the new movie will MSRP for 34.99-39.99 making it --- approx 25?

Good Idea, but with Warner's track record for shipping stuff on time, by the time you get it from them, it will be too late to ship to your winning bidder.

All five are now available, although originally they only announced HP5 and the boxset. :D

Slightly off topic, but is anyone else having trouble getting the 10% discount on the Harry Potter set?

They may lower the price. I think they did this for the jack ryan collection. No, it was Star trek.
