You can, but it would probably take more than a few minutes to match those values exactly.

Anyway, why would you want an on/off CR of just 200:1? (12/0.06)

By the way, I wrote my own app to use instead of Image Director. It allows me to precisely control each gamma point. In particular, it is much better for tweaking the gamma curve near black.

I think the standard for D-Cinema is actually 14 ft-Lamberts, not 12.

You could try this equation:

foot-Lamberts = (((IRE/100) + 0.03) / 1.03) ^ 2.25) * 14

Something isn't right. 0 IRE would still give me 0.0049064469 Ftl. 12/0.0049064469 would be a contrast ratio of ~2853:1.
Do you want the on/off CR to be higher than 2853:1? If so, you can simply use smaller numbers in the equation. For example, you can use 0.02 and 1.02 instead of 0.03 and 1.03, and you will get an on/off CR of 6950:1 (although your projector might not be capable of doing that).
So how does that work? 0 IRE is different than for 10 IRE? 0 IRE gets as close to 0 Ftl as you can while 10 IRE gets a value of 0.132928108 Ftl?
The ft-L for 0 IRE is the black level of your projector, whatever that happens to be. When you tweak the gamma curve, you should try to keep the black level as dark as the projector allows.

Any chance of ever getting the Image director 1 software?
