Hello,

I'm experience issues when I try to playback this new movie: Knocked Up on PowerDVD ultra.

There is a message asking if I want to update a certificate.
If I say YES it just sits there, if I say NO it just comes back asking for it again....

I waited 40 minutes with no success. (I have broadband internet...)

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

(the issue is only related to the HD-DVD side of the movie, I am able to play the DVD side...)

What build of PowerDVD Ultra are you using? If you contact Cyberlink support they can assist as well.

Wonder if it's related to this (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=11741068#post11741068)? Maybe Cyberlink will release an update soon.

Question about PowerDvd, can both Blu-ray and Hd Dvd be played using the software or is it one or the other?

I just got a new computer with BR installed which plays fine but having trouble getting the HD add-on to play anything.

The program shows PowerDvd DX, I dont see where it displays a version number.

You want it to say "PowerDVD Ultra".

And yes it can play both.

Version # can be found by right-clicking and going to "About".

Has anyone tried blocking PowerDVD Ultra with their XP or Vista firewall, or tried disconnecting from the internet and then playing the title?

disconnecting the ethernet cable worked for me, glad I rented because if I had bought this no web content would have been a bummer

I always had some problem or another with PowerDVD Ultra and HD-DVD's. Finally I just gave up and bought an A-2. And you know what, the A2 picture quality actually looks a lot better. I remember seeing a lot of conpression issues with charely and the chocolate factory. I thought it was the encoding on the disc. Once I got the A2 it was all gone and looked fantastic. I think PowerDVD is just to new for HD-DVD and has a long way to go. My Regular DVD's (not even upsampled) look way better on my A2 also.
Setting the picture quality to "Best" and color profile to "Original" in PowerDVD Ultra gives me a fantastic picture.
