Does anyone know if there is any difference between the EQ and the Non-EQ version of the Sunfire Signature subwoofer beside the obvious EQ. I don't really need the EQ, but if the newer EQ version is better because of an updated amp or driver that would be good to know.

Thanks,
MF

Pretty much cosmetics as far as I know. IIRC when they came out with the eq verison they changed the finish from matte black to a polished finish. I don't recall any spec changes to the amp, or any claims of driver improvements.

Hey Hal, I just re-read the review done of the Sunfire Sig. EQ on Secrets, and found this quote fwiw:

"Secondly, the EQ Signature has lower distortion than the original version, as I found out with the Bench Tests. I don't know how he did it, because getting a driver that is moving back and forth about 2", with low distortion, is no easy task."
