Is anyone using a Marantz 1080p projector (VP-11S1 or VP-15S1) with a Playstation 3? If so, does the combination work well? Did you just set your PS3 to 1080p and connect through HDMI? How does the combination work with BD and SD discs? Are there any better SD players you've used that work better with Marantz projectors for SD discs?

I only know of 2 people with the VP15S1, so you may not get any responses about that. I have used the VP11S1 with the PS3 and from my quick testing, it seemed to work aokay.

I use a PS3 as my blu-ray player with my 15S1, too. Works great. I have both HD-DVDs and blu-rays and the PS3 is my favorite player.

PS3 1080p to Marantz. Works like a charm.

Can the PS3 output SD/DVD at 480i? I know it upconverts now, but I am wondering if it is automatic. I dont really watch any SD content anymore.

Up to about 200 HDs and blu-rays now with a definite bullet on those in the next few weeks.

If you could still output 480i from the PS3 then I think youre in business. Otherwise, Im sure its still pretty good. You might want to ask in the PS3 as a blu-ray player thread.

Like I said earlier, its my favorite HD player. Its fast, never crashes, and you can download HD trailers and other content.
