Hello,
I have a US-region Panasonic DVD-S53 that I connected to a 4x1 IOGear HDMI switch GHDMIAS4 (that I recd today). Upon turning on the DVD player, I get a U70-2 error that after Googling revealed that it has to do with a HDMI delay detection and error handling in the player. I was wondering if there is any way to correct for this error via user configuration from menus etc or does the unit need a firmware upgrade etc? I would greatly appreciate any insight.
(The switch works fine with the Comcast Motorola DVR box I have hooked up also. So I think the switch is not to blame. I read somewhere that some DVD players are "overly" sensitive to HDMI delays - I am using a 3 feet cable between the DVD player and the switch and a 6 feet cable between the TV and the switch - a total of 9 feet. I wonder if the switch introduces sufficient delay to exceed the DVD player's expectations. In any case I would think DVD players should be able to handle 15 feet or more cables).
Thanks,
maccamb :)
