I can't get the Optoma HD3000 to sync with the PS3.

I am using a 30ft DVI-HDMI cable from the HD3000 to the HD7100 projector and input from both Dish Vip722 on HDMI and Component into HD3000 works fine. (it says 1282x720/60 for the Dish --- i don't understand why 1282?? )

Therefore, it can't be the long connection because it works on other input to HD3000. But the PS3 it will say processing and then nothing. Then it goes back to the projector saying DVI Searching.

What am I doing wrong?

Try resetting the PS3...you can find directions on how to do this on the web.
If you bypass the processor and go straight to the projector what happens?

The PS3 still works fine with my Vizio 32". If I bypass the processor I get absolutely nothing. If I go to the processor first, it says processing on the screen but then it distorts and scrambles a bit then goes back to "DVI Searching"

What resolution are you outputting from the PS3?

I first tried 720p and then 1080i --- neither work

Gosh, I really don't know. This baffles me. There must be something peculiar about the PS3/HD3000 connection. I suggest you contact Optoma about this.
