I have been digging thru the forum archives for 2 days now and i cannot find an answer to my problem. If anyone can help it sure would make me happy. I have looked at posts till i am almost crosseyed!

I have a Focus Enhancements Centerstage CS-1 processor and i have it hooked up via vga output to my Infocus X-1 projector and via DVI output to a HDMI port on my Toshiba 42HL67 High Def LCD TV.

On the input side i have a Pioneer Elite Laserdisc Player CLD-79 via both the svideo input and the composite input. I also have the svideo output from my Rotel RSP 980 (which has most of my other older video devices) plugged into the other svideo input of the CS-1.

I have everything working just fine to the Infocus X-1 projector but for some reason i cannot get any output from the DVI output of the CS-1 into my Toshiba TV. I have tried switching DVI to Hdmi cables and i have tried the other HDMI ports on the Toshiba TV. I have also tried creating a custom 1280X720 resolution for the TV as well as i have tried all of the other resolutions but no luck. I am getting no video at all.:(

I remember seeing something last night on one of the forums about some of the Centerstage CS-1's missing the chips that drive the DVI output port and someone having to send their CS-1 back to Focus Enhancements to have the chips put in. I don't think i was dreaming this!

Does anyone know anything about this cause when i asked the tech support dudes at Focus Enhancements they had no idea what i was talking about.

Anyone out there can help me???

Thanks Much!

CS1 DVI output has no HDCP . Maybe this is the reason it cannot handshake with toshiba hdmi ?

Or try unplug the VGA cable from CS1 , just leave the DVI cable . Switch off and on the CS1 again and see how.

Jason, Thanks so much for the reply. I tried unplugging the vga cable and then i tried rebooting the CS-1 and the Toshiba TV in every combination i could think of...like turn on CS-1 first then turn on TV...turn on TV then turn on CS-1..etc. and no such luck.

I was also suspicious of the High Def Content Protection as well and i tried svideo and composite video from several different sources as well as a upscaling dvd player in every different resolution as well as home made dvd's with no content protection on them.

I also today have tried 3 different Monster brand DVI to HDMI cables and 2 different Acoustic Research DVI to HDMI cables.

In addition to this i have made a custom resolution for the toshiba as well as try all of the other resolutions and all i get is the "no video signal" on the screen.

This is driving me nutz! I swear i remember seeing something about missing DVI chips on some of these Centerstage CS-1's but i can't remember where it was and Focus Enhancements tech support seem to not know anything about it.

If you or anyone else can think of anything else to try please let me know.

Thanks,
