No. You need an eSATA drive.

1)Any decent computer parts seller, I recommend newegg.

2)Just plug it in, it overrides the internal drive which is no longer used though so if you have any programming already recorded you won't be able to see it. It is possible to get back to the internal drive by just removing the eSata drive if needed.

3)Depends on how much space you want to have.

You may have to pay that much for 1 TB, but you can get 750 GB for less than half that amount. If you really need 1TB you might look into a RAID enclosure with two 750 drives.
