I need to buy another HDMI cable and I am just wondering if there is a difference in Video quality over the 1.3a and older HDMI cables? I will be hooking them up via the 360 and ps3. Thanks in Advance.

View Full Version : is 1.3a worth it bg182 09-28-07, 10:25 AM I need to buy another HDMI cable and I am just wondering if there is a difference in Video quality over the 1.3a and older HDMI cables? McMurphy 09-28-07, 10:48 AM Not a 360 expert but if I am not mistaken the 360, even with its newest revisions, is still only 1.2 compliant. If the cable is running from the 360 to something else. I'd vote not to waste the money. bg182 09-28-07, 10:50 AM I think you right thanks. How about the Ps3? I know they are 1.3 compliant. Is there a difference in Piq quality? digital_dilemma 09-28-07, 01:14 PM I think you right thanks. How about the Ps3? I know they are 1.3 compliant. Is there a difference in Piq quality? Essentially, if you are running a very short distance of 2 meters or less, you can purchase any HDMI cable and it should work. There are no such things as HDMI 1.3a cables. There are category 1 (1.65 Gb) and category 2 cables (3.4 Gb). |
