Hi,
I'm the proud new owner of a Sony 1272 pj.
This is my second, my first was a 1031Q which did me well for about 2 years.

Having just picked it up, I realise first thing I need is to get a signal into it! I'm using a HTPC and previously I had a VGA-SCART cable for the 1031 along with Powerstrip on the computer.
Now I see I need a VGA-RGBVH cable. After some searching around, I've found out that a VGA cable is essentially RGBVH packaged into one compact connector and I'm thinking I may as well solder up my own one.
Though before I start I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a wiring diagram for this little operation?

I'm inclined to think it very straightforward except the 1272 manual is saying that there's a sync signal mixed with the green. Does this mean I have to cross one of the HD or VD sync signals into the green? Or does the video card from the PC already provide a sync signal in the green?

Any help would be appreciated
'cheers

The 1272 best accepts RGBHV(5 BNC's). The cable is easily made, just dont be skimpy on your soldering. Also some shrink tubing at the end where you solder on your BNC's will make it last alot longer. One BNC each for r,G,B, H sync and V sync are needed- with grounds. Use the grounds meant for each signal when connecting to the BNC's. Here is a pic with the pinout:

Thanks a lot for that.
I'm clear on it now. It really is that simple.
