My parents currently have a RUNCO DTV-947 CRT projector that is about 7 years old... They are looking at upgrading to a newer digital projector... I was just wandering what u think of these 3 projectors... I think if they go under 10k it sounds like the JVC RS1 or RS2 would be good for them... I currently have the RS1 and love it... Then if they decided to go in the 10k-20k range i figure they might go for the new marantz VP-11S2... and then if they decided to go higher then that i have read amazing things about the Sim2 CX3 1080 for 30k...

I was just wandering what everyone's opinion would be for those 3 projectors and from what i hear my mom would like to keep the same quality she had when she first purchased the runco... The fact that she would be doubling the resolution and technology has advanced a ton in 7 years i figure anyone of these would be a big upgrade over the runco 947 but i don't have alot of knowledge on the runco crts...

Thanks

Just a question (not an answer...sorry). If your parents were so pleased with their previous Runco ... seven years...not bad ... why would they not have Runco on their list of products to compare?

This is just what i was suggesting... From reading some things and looking at the runcos it seems you can get alot more out of other projectors for less price then a runco... The 3 chip dlps for runco run in the 40k-80k range...
