It looks as thought they have EXTENDED the 5 Free Blu-Ray movie offer (by mail) when you purchase a qualifying Blu-Ray player (18 different models):

Something to note, is that there are 3 PLU's listed for the PS3, so this could be the 40GB PS3, we have been hearing about.

I think this will be a standard move by all blu ray players it helps people get introduced to HD. I highly doubt this will expire this year a new setup will happen when this offer is done with maybe 8 blu ray movies for free who knows.

What a crappy selection. Besides PotC, The Prestige, The Patriot and Swordfish, there isn't much else to choose from.

Only applies to purchases after 10-1 so it is not an option for you (or me for that matter). Free is free, so I won't complain even tho these titles are quite a bit better than the original offer's.

Wow, Im definitely a little annoyed that this selection wasnt available when I bought, because Ive bought several of those movies already. Oh well, Im still happy with the 5 that are coming (even though its now been delayed until November according to a mail notice I got).

You think that's funny...the notice has a postage paid return mailer which has a box saying "I wish to cancel my order" in case you decide you don't really want the FREE movies you already ordered.

That was an absolute joke. I am honestly stunned they would try such garbage. I kept re-reading it to see if I was missing something.

But yeah, I called about 2 weeks ago and got the same BS I got the 2 weeks prior that "Your order is ready and your movies should ship within 1-2 weeks". Now that 1-2 weeks has been pushed to November.

Ultraviolet (bad movie, but must looks great in Blu-Ray)

Overall, aside from Superman, I'm happier with what I chose compared to what I would have chosen.

I got the postcard on Friday too. The return card to cancel FREE Blu-Ray's was just plain weird. Since their free, why would I want to cancel? Crazy.

I never sent my rebate in because I could have cared less about the movie selection.

UGH! So frustrating.

My five movies arrived a few days after I called and asked what was going on. The phone agent should have been a robot..."we apologize for the delay, but the response to this promotion was much larger than we expected. I don't know when your movies will ship yet. Thanks and bye."

My five movies arrived and the only one I wanted on the list didn't show up!!!!! They substituted "Happy Feet" for the Italian Job. The IJ is the only decent movie on that list and the one I was looking forward to seeing in Blu Ray - but they sent some animated movie instead.

Oh wow Im glad I read this thread. I sent mine off what seems to be months and months ago. Figured it was lost in the mail or something and I couldnt do anything about it. Used the link and it says mine shipped 11-13-07 !

I sent mine off on Aug 22 and they came today, Nov 15! Sorry buddy... I requested the Italian Job and got one.

They shipped on Monday (according to the web site link above) and arrived 3 days later.
