hi to all,
I'm hopping if some one can help out! I have a new pioneer 5080HD, HD Dish network, Philips DVD player, and mini mac. I'm looking for nice a/v receiver that has 3 or 2 HDMI. this TV for the living room and I do want to use the pioneer 5080 speaker, this is the only speaker I will have in the room. So, I'm not looking for high-end a/v receiver, I just want to connect my DVR, DVD player, and mini mac if I can to my TV. I don't to pay for alot of stuff that I will never use.

So, what do you think it will be a good choice for my set.

What do you consider a lot of money? The Onkyo 705 can be found for 650 or less; and it has three HDMI inputs; along with many other features I find attractive. The 605 has fewer processing options, no pre-outs, no THX, etc; and only 2 HDMI inputs; but it can be found for 400 or so.

I have the 705 and have been very pleased with it. There aren't a lot of options in this price range if you're looking for 3 HDMI inputs.

thanks a lot Enigma for your reply, how ever I really don't want to put a lot of money in my live room! just because my wife think living room for people to set and talk not for big entertement, for that I have the basement for home theater and god stuff. I just want something she can use.

one more think, all my cables are monster m1000DAV HDMI to HDMI, if it helping.

Have you looked at HDMI switches ? Check out monoprice.com. I have been using a 2 X 1 manual switch for a few years and never had a problem. They also have 4 X 1s. Enigma I also have the 705, nice unit.
I run it to two different TVs with the 2 X 1 manual switch by using 2 ins and 1 out, I was surprised that it worked.
