Im new here and im not sure if I am in the right area for starting this thread,if I am im sorry.
I have a question that a search couldent help me find the answer.

I am trying to figure out how to convert 480p to 480i so I can record as you can't record in hi def.
To help better understand,here is what im trying to do.

I have a PSP that only output's at 480p and im trying to record my gameplay,If I could find somthing that can downscale to 480i then I could record.

Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? or know what direction to point me in?

Everything I've read says you can't output game video ("gameplay") via anything but progressive-capable cables: Component or HDMI?

The 2005 Polaroid 2001G has Component input, so it might be able to record gameplay???

One option I think might work is to patch your play into a TV that has component inputs (if you don't have one of those rare DVD recorders that has component inputs). Then connect cables to the audio/visual out on the TV to a DVD recorder. I don't know if it will work but might be worth trying.
