On my Win XP Windows Media Center PC the UPnP service will not start. It does not give any error, it just starts and stops

I have check all the dependent services, they are started...

I Have checked the firewall settings. The exceptions are check for UPnP and the correct option is select on the firewall to allow exceptions.

I have uninstalled the UPnP and reinstalled it from add/remove sft screen.

I have uninstalled win media player 11 and reinstall a fresh download copy.

The network is good becuase I can see the Roku devices on the network screen. But when I go into media player and go to the Media Sharing panel the devices do not show up.

So now I'am at a loss, with out UPnP I canot get my Roku streaming devices to see my music files, and the media sharing on the xBox360 will not work.

How do I get the UPnP service to start and stay started!!!

It never worked. I was trying to move from a 80gig HHD to a 1,000gig HHD by using XXClone. The cloned drive had the UpnP service start up problem but the source drive did not have the problem.

So I recloned the drive and ended up with the UPnP error again. So I reinstalled the orginal 80 gig drive, bought an external Sata enclosure and now it all works.

But I now have the 1,000gig HHD external....o well
