i recently bought a used optoma rd65 and it worked great for the first month or so. one night my wife was cooking and blew a circuit breaker, which the tv was plugged into. after resetting the breaker the tv is acting strange. i turn it on and it warms up like normal. when the screen comes on the sound is normal too. but the video is split down the middle, with the left side blue and the right side shows the channel, but screen/lamp go dark after 10 seconds or so. although the sound keeps on playing. before any of this happened i was getting a message saying the lamp is reaching the end of its life. but if the lamp were blown, you wouldnt think that the screen would light up at all after warming up. i have been searching online and reading previous forums on here but have yet to find my solution. any help with this would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance. -waldo
PS i thought about it being the POP setting, but the screen is truely dark, not just black. i cant access or see any menus or anything on the screen after it goes dark.

Pix split prob = more than lamp. Probably shuts lamp off because of what's causing this 'split-pix' prob. The amp is just a source of light, nothing to do with split pix.

the odd thing is that when the problem first occured, i didnt have the split screen problem... after warming up, it showed the screen like normal, full screen. it was after trying it a few times that now it is the split screen. and has been split ever since. i am fearing that the sudden power failure may have caused a problem with the motherboard. i have read about lamp engines going bad too on some previous threads, but with different symptoms. i am just trying to get some sort of direction to go. i am stumped at this point. without having extra parts to swap out to find the problem, i dont really know where to start. without buying parts i dont know if i need. thanks for the input.
