i have a samsung HLS5087W .. just got a xbox 360 with VGA cable. with it hooked up through VGA, im getting black borders all around. I have it set to 1920x1080 resolution on the xbox but still no go.

Hooking it up through components @ 1080p fills up the screen nicely. Also, in the past I had hooked up my PC to the TV through VGA and notice the black borders also but since I didnt really use my PC on it that much, i never bothered looking in to it.

I tried searching through the forums and tried some of the things ppl done but still no go. Is there a setting somewhere in the menu that I'm overlooking? I tried the auto adjust for the PC input but that didnt do anything. I saw a setting to adjust image position, but is there a setting to change image size (horizontal and vertical)?

Any other things I should try to get the picture to fill up the screen through VGA? Thanks.

Suggestion: look thru the TV manual for display specs with VGA input. Also, if you haven't, check TV format/aspect/size setting. I would think that 1920x1080 was OK. But try 720 lines from XBOX. Is TV 720p native?

the TV is 1080p native. I even tried other resolutions but still get the black borders. Also, I made sure the tv was in "Wide" mode for 16:9. i cant figure out what else it could be?
