I painted most of the walls in my house with a BEHR Eggshell color which is a step above flat but well below semi-gloss. I understand in a HT, if you paint the walls Flat yields good results so you won't get reflections. On the flipside to me, Flat looks...well Flat! Would I be messing myself up by painting the walls a "Eggshell"? I am thinking of going with a Indigo Blue which is a dark blue. I may go with blue for the majority of the wall and add a chair rail around the room and paint the bottom of the wall black.

Have any of you used black fabric to cover the entire "screen" wall then placed your screen on top of that instead of painting that wall?

Egeshell and flat a finish types not colors, they are both washable and have little to no reflection issues..

I used eggshell and it looks great, sorry no pics.
I agree on the flat. IMO it's such a small difference that I would sacrafice any ill effects
it would have over better asthetics.
