Hello all;
I am a novice that has been following this forum for some time now and am looking for advice in setting up my A/V room. I have been very impressed with the breadth and depth of knowledge of the forum participants. I must admit though, at times I am left a bit confused and overwhelmed as I try to make my configuration/purchase decisions. So with that, I've decided to ask your help with a couple specific questions.
My setup -- I currently have a Panasonic TH-58PZ750 display and a DirecTV HD20 DVR, with an Onkyo TX-NR905 receiver on order. Also, I hope to pick-up either a BluRay or HDDVD player shortly.
My questions are these;
1) What would you suggest for the BR or HDDVD player? I'm interested in purchasing the latest technology/format that is compatible with the 58PZ750 - which I believe is limited to 60fps.
2) As I watch a great deal of DirecTV HD content; will the HQV Reon processor in the 905 be sufficient or should I add a dedicated VP....and if so, which is recommended?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Mike
