I like to listen to my local football announcers while watching the game on direct tv. Does anyone know of a device or product that would allow me to put an adjustable delay on the audio inbetween my tuner and my integrated amplifier that would allow me to adjust the delay to match the viceo coming in form teh sattelite?

Not cheap, but this has up to 9.5 frames of delay.

This assumes that the audio is early. A video delay is much more expensive.

Have the local station go HD Radio. That adds about 6-7 seconds of delay to their audio.

(Just kidding, I think. Some stations actually turn the HD Radio off during sports, to keep from adding delay to the radios in the spectators hands at the stadium.)

If your local football team is one of the college teams carried on XM, then a SkyFi2 has a paus button that will allow you to delay the audio up to 30 minutes. Unfortunately, this doesn't help me on televised games since I'm constantly rewinding the game on my DVR so I can see a play again.

Maybe some sort of audio DVR (though I guess that would make it a DAR) if you can find one. Maybe an FM tuner card for a PC would allow functionality like that. In fact, the Griffin Technology Radio Shark 2 (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/radioshark2/) will do just that. I know the company well (I was actually their very first employee) and they tend to make pretty good quality stuff. It looks like a number of the DAB radios from the UK also have the capability, though most of that would be wasted. I know neither of these options are exactly what you wanted but it's something at least.

here's what you're looking for, but it's really more than I wanted to pay.
