55" Sony DLP rear projection Grand Wega, burn in like image on left side of screen. The are where the on screen menu displays. Contacted Sony about DLP burn-in, they say 2 year old sets and older have problem.
Anyone know of a fix ? or cause ?

That was my thought. It's probably an LCD/LCOS display, and that's not completely unheard of, but not sure the OP is clear what he's talking about.
