I just got HD from Directv , I would love to my Sony uni remote but I have had no luck with either searching or installing the codes manually. Can I send it to Sony for an upgrade? or am I the only in this predicament?

The receiver is a Directv ( not RCA etc.) H20 and my remote is a RM-AV3100
