I might purchase the Marantz CD5001. What is the best online retailer for purchasing the Marantz CD5001? I want an authorized online retailer that have knowledgeable sales staff, good customer service, can offer me a good deal, and easy returns in case that I don't like the Marantz CD5001. I really don't want to purchase it at crutchfield or one call because I had issues with both retailers on their knowledge of the items they carried.
Good luck. If a retailer excels in all of those requirements, they probably won't be in business too long.

How about Audio Advisor (http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=MACD5001)? I haven't yet ordered from them, but I've been enjoying their catalog for years. They seem to have a good reputation and were very helpful when I called a few weeks ago inquiring about the Marantz CD6002 (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=905430).

Solid company, great products and they are discounting everything in their catalog 10%.
I just ordered the Marantz CD5001 from Audio Advisor. I will expect by the end of this week.
Goods guys at AA, I've bought from them a few times. Helpful and no hassles.

I agree about "AA", I think Chad has never heard of them !

The problem lies in that I'm not sure how the OP defines "good deal". I read that to mean "rock bottom" pricing, but maybe that's not what they meant. AA does look like a good outfit.......but a 9% discount off retail certainly isn't a huge discount.

Usually, getting everything the OP wants ends up costing a little more.
It's usually necessary to sacrifice one or more of the requirements to get the rock bottom price.
