I've found the JVC for about the same price as the sony, and both have the same basic technology; my question, given teh similiar price, the increase in screen size, and the fact that the Sony is a newer and presumably better tech (120Hz, and whatever else), which would you buy? Go with the older closeout, or the newer, smaller Sony?
How do these two stack up against each other?

Go for the size. The JVC 1080p LCOS dsplays are awesome in their own right. :)

If you don't care about the 120Hz, and the HDMI 1.3 inputs, I've go with the JVC. very good price for a 70" set

Called teh company in question, and the price is correct, and it is not a remanufactured TV....
When I asked how many they had on hand, he replied 'how many do you need' ho ho.
Bad thing is, they have no return policy so if you have trouble, you must deal with the manufacturer.
