I'm helping some friends setup thier sound system for a new lounge they are opening up. They will use the system for mainly music and the volume will not be too high, but will need the ability to have it pretty loud. Also, i am not looking to get club type PA speakers or large floor speakers. I need something relativly small and nice looking.

The budget is $1500-$2000 and the place is about 3000sq feet.

This is what i had in mind. Tell me if im on the right track?

-900-1000 watt reciever with 7.1 channel
-7x 100watt rms speakers(bookshelf-maybe klipsch)
-250-300watt sub

the other option is to get a industrial club amp with the same speakers instead of a home theater reciever. I don't know what would be better for this application.
-I'm looking to get a nice clean, crisp sound with tight bass and have the option to get it loud.
