Pretty sweet, but $350 is out of my range for a sim steering wheel.

that is really cool, but I agree with Replacement. I have my FF wheel floating around here somewhere. Last time I used it was several years ago on the PS2 with I think GT? That was 100.00. I could see if you are really into the racing genre or have cash to blow, it seems well worth it if it performs well.

My G25 was only $250 and I'd bet its better. Minus its USB cable isnt wireless.

But the 1GB Porsche thumbdrive is worth the price just by itself. :P I guess if you have a good reltaionship with your local Porsche dealer, you probably have the expendable income to purchase one of these babies.

Very cool. Once I get a PS3 game which supports this, it's mine. I'm a huge Porsche fan.

I still don't think this is the official wheel that's going to be released when GT5 actually comes out. I will pass on this for now and wait and see for the official wheel.

Your right, Logitech will be making another wheel for GT5.

The remanufactured G25 on ebay for $199 works fine. The porsche wheel looks like a rebadged wheel of the G25.

It couldn't be- the shifter is different on the two, and the porsche wheel has wireless pedals.

This wheel looks pretty cool. I've been thinking of getting a wheel for F1. Is there a clear-cut wheel out there for PS3 that I should look at? It's so hard to hold a good racing line with analog sticks. The throttle and braking isn't what I would like either.

How much do you want to spend? How immersive do you want your experience?

The G25 is without question the best bang for your buck, but it's still a bit pricey. The driving force pro is still a great wheel and can be found for under a hundred bucks.

If you are in no rush i'd just wait to see what wheel comes out with GT5, but the 2 already suggested are both solid choices. This wheel looks sweet, but 350 is overkill for me.

But, if the wheel that comes out with GT5 is $299 like the G25 originally was would you spend an extra $50 for 911 wheel?
I probably would if the performance is the same or better than the new Logitech wheel

Thats why I'm waiting to see. :D If the new logitech wheel was 299 and wasn't very close in features to this I'd spend the 350, or just end up getting a G25. You can't really go wrong with the G25 from my experiences, though i haven't owned one myself.

Does anyone know who manufactures the porsche wheel? I'm not trying to take anything away from it, but I've had such great experiences with logitech wheels that If I were to drop $300+ on one, I would want it to be a logitech just because of the track record they have.

Is the Porsche wheel the only one that is completely wireless? I'd rather not have wires all over my living room. How exactly does a wheel feel on the PS3 with no force feedback? Is the wheel just dead, or is there still some resistance?

F1 is the only racing game I plan on playing until GT5 comes out, and I don't think it supports any force feedback. I haven't heard anything about a new F1 coming out anytime soon either.

I thought one of the early gripes was that there was no FF for the Gran Turismo demo that came out last December. I assumed it was the console that didn't support it.

It didn't, but it does now.

Same here $350 is alot to spend on a wheel that hasn't been reviewed yet. But I dunno I might bite the bullet and purchase this wheel once GT5 hits the stores. This purcahse would be alot easier if McDonald's would just simply give me the freggin Boardwalk Monopoly piece LOL.
