You could buy a 2008 SUZUKI GSX650F for 7K leaving you enough money for gas and then some.

If you're into watches, you could buy something like a Breitling for around $6,400 and a Movado for $800 leaving you enough money for a beer and a couple of lap dances. Maybe more if you get there for the buy 1 get 1.

Maybe you want to take care of a child in need. Well, you could invest the money at say 5% interest and sponsor a child forever.

Maybe you could go down to the Shady Lady Ranch and enjoy 10 separate one hour sessions @ $700 per.

Maybe you need speakers. I'm sure you can find something nice for that kind of money.

But maybe, just maybe you don't need any of that. You're in the market for speaker cables. How's about a pair of 12 foot Anjou speaker cables for $7250. David Clark, that wanker over at Positive Feedback says...
"Highly Recommended.”

"In extended listening sessions, I found the cables' greatest strength to be its PRAT. Simply put these are very danceable cables. Music playing through them results in the proverbial foot-tapping scene with the need or desire to get up and move. Great swing and pace—these cables smack that right on the nose big time.
Well just don't listen to them and then go the men's room in the Minneapolis airport. That foot tapping will get you in trouble.

Attractive, aren't they?

You could possibly (yeah, right) turn it into $1 million. James Randi is at it again (http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/calling-bullshit/james-randi-offers-1-million-if-audiophiles-can-prove-7250-speaker-cables-are-better-305549.php?).

Good for Randi. I hope he keeps at it.

And I love that audiophools use the word PRAT. Prats, indeed.

PRAT

Basically someone who's a major idiot, or is delusional and dumb. Acts against logic and thinks he's self-righteous. AKA: Major dumbass.

Good example: Percy from Harry Potter

"You stupid prat!"

:D

No, no. That's Pace, Rhythm, and Timing. I've also heard Pace, Rhythm, Articulation, Timing. Either way :D

Great post Chu - you always give me something to chuckle at when taking breaks at the office. You should have included this excerpt from the review:

Which then leads us to the $64 question: which cable is telling the truth?

p.s. That's either a very small pear or some bigass speaker cables ;)

Wow, I haven't seen a (simulated) Ctrl-H "backspace" in 20 years. You must be as old a fogey as I am. :D

My first Usenet-enabled account was on a Vax 11/750 in 1983. Yeah, we called it "Usenet" back then.
