Hi everyone

I have my new HR20 DVR setup and running. I like the picture and sound.

So this is my big jump into the HD world. My system is setup so the whole house is fed from the living room entertainment center (HR20 composite). The HR20 also feed the projector by HDMI. 3 other TV’s are fed composite throughout the house. an a/v amp made this work ok for years.

Now I want to upgrade one of the sets to HD. this is in my bedroom and has a 40 ft run. Any ideas on how to do this? So right now my HDMI output is tied up to the projector so I guess I need multiple outputs to feed at least one other set for now but eventually the other 2 as well. Component would take a lot of cables. I want a good HD signal but something that is easy and low cost to do.

I hope this makes sense?

There are numerous products out now that allow you to use two cat5e cables to run HDMI. You will get greater distance by using two cat6, but for only 40' cat 5 will work. After talking to a lot of manufacturers at CEDIA about this exact subject I found that Honeywell was advertising the longest distances. Hope this helps.
