I need a way to turn of the auto input searching.

Can anyone help me. I have the WD-73734.

wow wish you had found an answer to this mine keeps restting everytime i turn it off so I have to delete all the settings and replug in the hdmi from my receiver a very big pain in the butt

if you turn off HDMI control in your receivers settings that should solve your problem.
