My first time posting in this forum but I really need some opinions.
I bought wd73827 this weekend was delivered yesterday. When I got back home from work i started setting it up. While I was watching Monday Night football, the set just shut off by it self. At first I though i pressed something since I was holding the remote. When I looked at the front panel the Status light is on (green) checked the manual stated that either reset the set or unplug wait for 1 min. and restart. I did all that and the T.V started again. Hooked up my 360 attempted to watch a lil bit of hd/dvd (heroes) got the 3 ring of death (another story) I was in hate mode at this point. I d/c 360 and connected my ps3 to watch blue ray was fine for a bit then it shut off again w/ the status light. This happened at least 3x while I was watching Blue ray. D/c At this point i really was thinking about every possible factor why this is happening. The lamp light is not on just the status light is green. Everytime i restart it by resetting or unplugging it would work. Im really frustrated right now just thinking about it. Turned off the blue ray and threw in a game and it shut off once again. I restarted it then i continue to watch regular t.v. for about 1 hour. THis morning i turned it on, it wasn't shutting off but another problem... a gradual ticking noise starts of slow and then it becomes constant rapid pulse coming out of the tv's speakers. I turned the volume down and turned on my receiver (onkyo) and the pulse is not there. When I have the speakers up with the tv the ticking pulse noise is on. what can be going wrong here? I called ABT electronics they said that they will send me a Tech. on friday it's tuesday got the tv monday... should i return this set?
