Hi guys,

I just got my TV and it is great, light, good construction and everything but the picture seems fine. Granted I have connected an analog source to the TV for the time being, but the picture seems a little too bright in some channels, too noisy and at times seems washed with colors spreading out.

Any suggestion to find the best picture quality that I can get out of the box. Is there a way to fine tune my TV for best picture quality. Also I noticed that when I change input the top says 480i, does it pick this up from the source or are certain inputs only mean for that, this is my first HDTV out of the CRT realm, so I am not very familiar with all these things.

Also how do I train the remote to work with my VCR/DVD/RECVR etc.

Help would be great.

Thanks

Ankur

If you got some DVD's you might have one that came with a THX set-up. It's good to use it to adjust your set if nothing else is easily available. Unfortunately, the sources and channels tend to vary a lot in picture quality, so there's not much you can do about it. It's too much of a bother to adjust the controls every time the scene changes or after you change a channel. The set gets it 480i from the source. If you're using a box from the cable company, though, it should be set to 480p.

Your set's guidebook likely will help you with the remote. It should contain the various codes that you'll need to use.
