I have a RUNCO 980 and it apears to be able to have a camera mounted in front. What does NEC call its auto convergence system using a camera? Anyone know where I could get one? Would it be a simple instal and go?

Thanks, Dave

Dave,
The ACAT camera in our application isn't really needed and required a capture card also. On most of the ones we used it on (edu type of installs) we ended up disconnecting.

The idea was it would auto run when the classrooms were not in use but if a janitor left a light on it would un converge them.

We did 'rig' them as a live security camera though. Doug

To add to what Doug said: In a HT installation you can do a better job converging your projector.

I have yet to see an auto convergence sytem that is better than what can be done the old fashioned way and the NEC ACAT system is not even one of the newer inventions in this area.
