I know Hi-jack is trying to claim Popcorn Hour is the first Syabas SMP8634 player but he's wrong as always. This is the first SMP8634 Syabas player:

Hey Johnny, thanks for the info. I'm sure both you and Hi-Jack provide useful information, although sometimes in an argumentative fashion.
You both are very much appreciated.

Well Johnny,
If you can get me one from an "official source/reseller" in Canada, I'll skip any bitching about your stupid comment. But AFAIK, for the rest of the world, it does look like the "Popcorn Hour" will be the first device available with the chip.
Anyway, I'll pass until bigger 'brands' put out their 'flavor' of the device out ...

Hi Johny boy...
We cover Europe, not China...
Popcorn first available for us (in Europe)
Keep on attempting to discredit me... people know me better than that...
Here's another one...

And Johny, for your info, the HD Feeling 2008 was announced by us before
you even knew it exists to be launched in China (direct contacts with Syabas
and HD Feeling). They could release in Europe but not before the end of the
year and probably under OEM to a German... They refused so far to go with it because of the issues in hardware quality and immature EU firmware which will be better in a few weeks by adding SAMBA server fixes and ISO.
How's that for someone who's always wrong?
Damn, seems I posted more info in one post than you did so far in several threads trying to discredit me...
BoNZAIIIII :-)
Enjoy

Oh, I like this HD feeling. I believe, they both use same Syabas kit based on Sigma Design SMP8630 series (SMP8635 in particular case). There are many players in this category, also HDX 1000 and Tomacro.

I agree, tha Sigma SMP8630 is quite a killer series in HD, easily streaaming HD at more than 20 Mbps speeds (papers tell that up to 40 Mbps, never tested myself)
