I need to go from a speaker cable, just positive and negative, and go to RCA cable. Also, this RCA is going into a device like a VCR input in order to record the audio. Thanks for your help!

First, one can usually just solder the two wires to the RCA connector. Second, What is connected to the other side and why are you using speaker wire when you should be using a shielded cable? jkorn74 10-03-07, 12:20 PM This speaker wire is connected to an a/v amplifier. I am debating on creating a power annotator to bring the power down to an adequate level so I don't blow out the VCR. Yes, you will need to pad down the speaker output or, if you can, just use a regular RCA-RCA interconnect from the amp's tape or preamp output. sivadselim 10-03-07, 06:10 PM You can buy a "speaker-level to RCA converter" relatively inexpensively. They're often used in car audio, so check those types of places or websites. |
